 13U baseball star Micah Matthews registers with MoCo RBI
HARRISONBURG, Va., April 13, 2020 ​​​​​— MoCo RBI announced today that 13U superstar OF/3B Micah Matthews (2025),
one of the Mid-Atlantic region's most exciting youth baseball players, has officially registered with its prospect program.
Matthews is the ninth prospect from the state of Virginia to join MoCo RBI in 2020, as well as its fourth arrival this Spring.
He becomes the youngest prospect added to the Phenom Identification Series roster.

Thus far, the 6'1", 170-pound seventh grader has proven himself to be a man among boys within his age group regardless
of the stage. Micah was named an All-Tournament Team selection at the 2019 Perfect Game 13U Major Sunday Series
after posting an .875 batting average and 2.264 OPS, with one home run, one double, 5 runs batted in, 2 stolen bases, and 7 runs scored.

Matthews displayed impressive power for scouts attending the Baseball Factory National Evaluation event and the Junior Future Games hosted by Prep Baseball Report. Despite being just 13 years old, Micah consistently records the type of
measurables that pro scouts, talent evaluators, and Division-1 baseball coaches covet in elite-level high school seniors.
His current exit velocity is in the 87-90 mph range. Moreover, he has been clocked at 4.08 seconds from home to first base.
Mathews is expected to be a cornerstone of MoCo RBI all-star prospect teams for years to come.
NORTH POTOMAC, Md., June 20, 2020 — MoCo RBI concluded an exciting Spring recruiting season by announcing the addition of 12 new players to its prospect pipeline, including two 2020 Rawlings-Perfect Game Pre-Season All-Americans. 
Headlining the latest signings are brothers junior pitcher Antwan Walton, Jr.  (Emporia, Va./Greensville County HS) and freshman outfielder Tayshaun Walton (Emporia, Va./Greensville County HS), a University of Miami commit who is
currently listed by Perfect Game as the No. 1 ranked player nationally for the Class of 2023.Moreover, MoCo RBI registered
sophomore softball phenom MaKayla Marbury (Accokeek, Md./Bishop McNamara), a University of Maryland commit
who is widely considered to be among the top 100 high school softball players in the nation.

MoCo RBI also focused on developing future stars by recruiting several 15U players into its elite baseball prospect program. Among the notable names are shortstop Jordan Crosland (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond Suffolk Academy), who was selected to the 2019 Hank Aaron Invitational — a premier MLB showcase that features 44 of the nation's top prep baseball stars.
In Addition, MoCo RBI added two-way players Eric Griffin (Upper Marlboro, Md.), Manny Hall (Upper Marlboro, Md.),
Rahsaan Mack (Woodbridge, Va.), Micah Matthews (Bridgewater, Va.), Joseph Nottingham (Windsor Mill, Md.),
Chandler Powell (York, Pa./Dallastown Area HS), as well as middle infielders Jayden Saunders (Waynesboro, Va.), and
Aidan West (Ellicott City, Md.). 
MoCo RBI announces star-studded Spring 2020 recruiting class
SUFFOLK, Va., April 9, 2020 — MoCo RBI announced today that SS/2B Jordan Crosland (Nansemond Suffolk Academy)
has joined its elite prospect programCrosland was among the 250 top amateur baseball players selected to participate in the 2019 Hank Aaron Invitational, a premier prospect showcase event hosted by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball.

The 5'11", 164-pound freshman shortstop has received considerable attention from Division-1 universities after posting a .583/.737/.916 slash line during this year's shortened interscholastic season. He hopes to study either Business, Communications, or Sports Management in college.

Crosland is the seventh Virginia prep baseball star to register with MoCo RBI this year, signaling what may be an exodus.
"We've experienced an influx of top players from the Commonwealth [of Virginia] joining our program in recent months," says MoCo RBI GM Emery Jones. "It's amazing how kids like Jordan are now taking the initiative to contact us because
they've seen the good work that we're doing in the community and are eager to be part of what MoCo RBI is building."

Jordan brings an impressive resume into the MoCo RBI program, having been selected to multiple All-Tournament teams during his time as a 12U travel ballplayer. He will showcase his abilities at future Phenom Identification Series events. 
Crosland continues influx of Virginia prep stars to MoCo RBI
Top ranked outfielder in the USA registers with MoCo RBI
EMPORIA, Va., April 9, 2020 — OF/RHP Tayshaun Walton (Greensville County HS), one of the top prospects in America,
has officially registered with MoCo RBI. The 6'2", 205-pound freshman slugger is currently listed by Perfect Game as the USA's top-ranked outfielder and 5th best player overall for the Class of 2023.

Walton burst onto the national scene by hitting 56 home runs — including a 414-foot tape measure shot — to win the
12U World Championship at the 12th Annual Power Showcase in Miami. Pro scouts are already raving about his raw power and potential to develop into a future first-round MLB draft pick.

Tayshaun was named to the 2020 Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American team after setting a national record for exit velocity (99 mph) in his age group. Morever, he participated in the 2019 14U Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival
featuring the best 44 underclassmen nationwide. In addition, Walton has been clocked at 6.92 seconds in the 60-yard dash and is a two-way player reminiscent of Hunter Greene — the second overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft. Walton's explosive fastball currently registers 88 mph on the radar gun.

Walton has committed to play Division-1 collegiate baseball for the University of Miami Hurricanes in Coral Gables, Fla.
Two-time All-American enters MoCo RBI prospect pipeline
SUFFOLK, Va., April 9, 2020 — MoCo RBI announced today that OF/RHP Antwan Walton, Jr. (Greensville County HS)
has entered its elite prospect program. The 6'6", 180-pound junior switch-hitter is a two-time All-District baseball selection and has twice been named to the Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American team as an honorable mention. Walton is also a dual-sport athlete that recently earned 2020 First Team All-District honors for varsity basketball.

The registration of Walton adds yet another immensely talented player for pro scouts to consider in MoCo RBI's pipeline.
He is currently ranked among the top 500 prospects nationwide and his name consistently appears on lists spotlighting the East Coast's best high school baseball players.

During the 2019 interscholastic baseball season, Antwan posted an impressive .410/.568/.538 slash line with 3 doubles,
one triple, and 20 runs scored across 53 plate appearances. However, Walton especially flashed intriguing potential and upside as a pitcher. His repertoire features an 85-86 mph fastball and knee-buckling 11-to-5 curve that freezes hitters.
Like all players in MoCo RBI's elite-level prospect program, Antwan dreams of someday being selected in the MLB Draft.
Walton is an early favorite to earn a roster spot on the 2021 MoCo RBI All-Star Baseball Prospect Team.
Seven MoCo RBI prospects named Perfect Game All-Americans
NORTH POTOMAC, Md., March 31, 2020 — MoCo RBI announced today that
seven Phenom Identification Series prospects have earned the distinction of being named Pre-season Underclass All-Americans by Rawlings and Perfect Game,
the most All-American selections of any RBI program in the nation.

Tayshaun Walton, who ranks as the nation's No. 1 outfielder for the Class of 2023,
was a first team Atlantic Region All High School Underclass selection. His brother, Antwan Walton, Jr., received Atlantic Region Honorable Mention honors.

Virginia infielders Jesus Del Valle and Darnell Parker, Jr. were listed among those earning Atlantic Region Honorable Mention, alongside Maryland-based prospects
George Baker, Joshua Braxton, and Cam Jones, Jr.

The Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American teams recognize the top 300
high school juniors, sophomores, and freshmen in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.

NORTH POTOMAC, Md., March 28, 2020 — MoCo RBI announced the addition of 12 new recruits to its prospect pipeline.
The talented MoCo RBI Winter 2020 recruiting class is comprised of four juniors, five sophomores, and three freshmen, including several players currently rated among the best high school baseball prospects in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.

The incoming recruiting class is headlined by freshman shortstop Jesus Del Valle (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton HS),
widely regarded as one of the Mid-Atlantic's top infield prospects. The group also includes three players selected to the
2020 Preseason All-PBR Maryland Underclass Team -- catcher George Baker (Waldorf, Md/Grace Christian Academy),
outfielder Joshua Braxton (Columbia, Md./Loyola-Blakefield HS), outfielder Cam Jones, Jr. (La Plata, Md./McNamara HS).


Other signees from the Winter 2020 recruiting class are infielder Seth Barnes (Cheltenham, Md./DeMatha Catholic HS),
infielder Isaiah Bracy (Richmond, Va./Glen Allen HS), catcher Jae'dan Carter (Dumfries, Va./Charles J. Colgan HS),
infielder Jaden Guthrie (Montclair, Va./Potomac HS), outfielder Lamon Lyles (Clinton, Md./Roosevelt HS),
shortstop Darnell Parker, Jr. (Carrollton, Va./IMG Academy), Elijah Pinckney (Morningside, Md./Fredericksburg Christian), and outfielder Dallas Vaughan (Upper Marlboro, Md./DeMatha Catholic HS). Each recruit is expected to participate in the
MoCo RBI Phenom Identification Series, an invitation-only youth baseball league designed to identify elite DMV prospects.

MoCo RBI announces talented recruiting class for Winter 2020
MoCo RBI to follow MLB recommendation for COVID-19
​NEW YORK, N.Y., March 17, 2020 — MoCo RBI has announced that it will fully comply with a Major League Baseball (MLB) recommendation by temporarily suspending program activities due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The MLB recommendation was issued to all RBI leagues worldwide on March 13, 2020 and applies to games, practices, clinics, and team gatherings. To ensure the safety of administrators, coaches, parents, and players, MoCo RBI has postponed
Spring 2020 activities and instituted social distancing policies in accordance with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) directives
and the Maryland Department of Health (MDH). MoCo RBI will continue accepting online registrations during the shutdown.
